Memoir 301: Application & Practice Part I

Saturdays, 10 – 11:30 AM EDT

In this 5-week series you will learn the skills of the creative non-fiction workshop. Each week we will meet in our group to learn a new aspect of craft. Then in small supportive groups you will share and critique each other’s work to apply and practice the skills you have learned in Memoir 101 and 201. This method is used in most MFA and professional writers’ groups. It is a highly effective way to internalize the concepts that make for successful memoir. We will meet five times over a two month period, allowing for time between class to read and respond to classmates’ work. This will allow you to arrive at class and workshop with your comments ready to share.
